Girls update

We have an update on our girls' case.  We were given permission to talk to the grandparents that live in Washington.  We called and talked to grandma on Sunday night.  It was a very pleasant conversation and we enjoyed talking to her.  During our conversation she told us that her and her husband had done some soul searching over the weekend and they have not to pursue the adoption.  This is amazing news for us and it truly is and answer to our prayers!

I received a call from our worker yesterday and she got confirmation from grandma that they have indeed withdrawn from the adoption.  So now we are waiting for our homestudy to be completed (should be done by the end of July) and then they will do a staffing (we are the only ones being staffed so we will be chosen!).  We are hoping the staffing will be in August and then we will have paperwork to do.  The worker said we should be done by Christmas (but I think we'll be done earlier!)  Keep praying!!!

2 years!

2 years ago M and Z became official members of our family.  It has been a wild ride!  We have created many happy memories, had many fun times as a family, and experienced many challenges.  They have grown so much (height and emotionally) and we look forward to seeing them grow into young men!

Z's first lost tooth!

Z lost his first tooth tonight!  It has been loose for a few months and tonight he let dad pull it out.  I think he was a little shocked when it first happened and wouldn't let us see it or take pictures, but he warmed up to the weird feeling and is excited to see if the tooth fairy will come tonight!

Lego Land Discovery Center

 Lego Land here we come!!!

Lego Land opened a new discovery center in Kansas City and we had to check it out!  The 3 oldest (ages 30, 8, and 6) had a hay day.  The littles weren't nearly as impressed so we ended up going to the hotel to run (they loved it!)

Kansas City Aquarium

The kids checking out the tide pool.  We were allowed to touch all the critters in the pool, but only the little kids were willing to touch
The twins checking out the fish...they loved the aquarium!

We went to Kansas City for a few days at the end of May.  Our first stop was the new aquarium.  After waiting in a very long line we were able to see some pretty amazing fish and sealife.  The kids loved it!

Slip and Slide

Getting a push from big brother
He LOVED the Slip and Slide!

What a great way to spend a hot Kansas day!
